Notes
- An excused match/practice is one for which the student was ineligible (eg. missed school) or for which the AD or principal has excused the student. I don't care what the excuse is, only that the AD or principal approves it.
- Participation in a match means being present from the beginning of the safety brief until the end of the handshake. It also means making every effort to shoot your best. If you need accommodations to leave early or arrive late, please arrange this with coaching staff as early as possible.
- Practice means a minimum of 1 hour range time and accepting instruction from the coaching staff. Open range days can be considered make up sessions.
- We typically have around 60 practices, so participation in around 36 is what is being asked here. More practice equates to higher scores.
- The roster will be filled with the individuals having the highest season average score. If there are insufficient shooters qualified to fill the roster, additional shooters will be at the sole discretion of the coaching staff. Alternates will be determined in the same fashion as the main roster.
For states specifically, the roster will not be decided earlier than 2 weeks before states. Note that this is a change from previous years, when we were asked to fill the roster as much as 2 months ahead of time.
